In 2000, Heather received her Masters in Physical Therapy from California State University, Fresno. Since then, she has worked in a variety of settings including acute inpatient, rehabilitation, home health and skilled nursing, however, her area of clinical expertise is outpatient orthopedic therapy, specifically soft tissue mobilization for chronic pain. Additionally, she is an equine sports therapist and loves being around horses. Heather recently made the transition from clinical work to academia and is now the Director of Clinical Education and a new instructor for the PTA program at the Institute of Technology, Clovis campus. Heather and her husband are busy with their two daughters, two German Shepherd puppies, and tending to their 2.5 acre property in Clovis. Additionally, Heather enjoys Pilates, gardening, watching her daughters play soccer and water polo, and traveling.
