A comprehensive examination is required of all candidates, which consists of a standardized national examination (CPCE) and a case study. Students are allowed two opportunities to take each part of the exam. If a student passes one section and fails another, he/she should not retake the extended section. If a student fails to complete sections of the comprehensive examination after successfully completing two attempts, the student may be subject to academic dismissal. Students who fail any section of the comprehensive exam must consult with their advisor or program director within two weeks of notification of results.
