All directions must be double. Our department has no restrictions on the second field of study, but you are usually limited to the fields offered at your home school/university. (For example, if you’re in the College of Arts and Sciences, you should choose from over 60 majors offered at CAS.) The minor print and online consists of 5 courses, including two core courses and three electives. Students begin with a journalistic survey: the written word (JOUR-UA 101), followed by the printed part of The Beat (JOUR-UA 201). In addition to these two core courses, students choose 3 electives.

Students begin by airing a Journalistic Investigation: The Written Word (JOUR-UA 101), followed by a Journalistic Investigation: Multimedia (JOUR-UA 102) and The Beat (JOUR-UA 201).
