Colleges With Chemical Engineering Majors

Colleges With Chemical Engineering Majors – Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is a discipline that uses elements of chemistry, physics, mathematics and biology to make products useful in industry and safety. Chemical engineers are involved in the production of medicine, food, medicine and many other products. We have a four-year undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, B.Eng. (CBE). At the end of the course, the students will be awarded directly. With our strong faculty from international universities, modern systems and research and teaching centers in the state, we provide students with academic support and the time to identify and pursue personal and professional goals. Our aim is to equip new graduates in chemical and biomolecular engineering with the necessary skills to meet the changing demands of the pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences in Singapore and the region. .

The program brings together the principles of chemical engineering and life sciences (biology, biochemistry and genetics) to help develop and improve safe, efficient and environmentally friendly processes for the synthesis and production of chemical products/ biological. The first three years of the program include basic chemistry concepts to help students develop a solid foundation in fundamentals, develop skills and engineering decisions. The program also includes a semester-long internship to give students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience using their engineering skills, improve communication skills and interpersonal, ethical and professional relationships. In the final year, students are required to complete a major capstone design project that effectively simulates the manufacturing process that chemical engineers perform in industry as process and design engineers.

There are only exceptions for Freshmen Semester 1. Invitations with details will be sent to eligible students before the semester begins. Just look for an email if you want to apply.

Exemptions for polytechnic students will be reviewed once a year and published online before the start of the course. Major polytechnic students in the department may receive an exemption depending on the course completed and the courses students have taken in the their polytechnic, and if they comply with it. the rules/conditions set by the University. In general, students with an Advanced Certificate, Additional Diploma Certificate and/or Certificate of Excellence or Distinction may be considered for exemption for 4 courses or 12 AU, depending on the relevance of the polytechnic course and the degree obtained.

During the course, the student must attend courses in accordance with the Regulations established by the Board of Education in accordance with the approval of the School of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE).

Core courses are available throughout the program. They are basic courses designed to provide essential training in chemical engineering.

Chemical Engineering Pathways

PE major courses provide opportunities for students to study specific areas of chemical engineering in depth and intensity. Students can choose their courses based on their personal interests and career goals.

The Common Core courses that the University has defined are essential for the training of today’s engineering graduates, including areas such as telecommunications and environmental sustainability.

Students have to read and pass the Technical Courses in Education from different areas such as informal internships and Science & Artificial Intelligence papers. The AU number to be read in each area is specified by the School and in the table below.

The BDE requirement is an extension of the Unsuitable Electives (UE) which includes different types of options that are similar to graduates from different types of study, the curriculum is shared by learning experience. A BDE can be used to fulfill requirements for a dual major, second major, minor and vocational education. It can also be used to read or read MOOCs recommended by graduate courses. General options of general interest, such as learning foreign languages, can be read further in the BDE. CBE students must read and pass 21AU of BDE. Students can choose to study a course from the BDE list provided by each faculty in the University.

College Of Engineering

Students must fulfill AU requirements in the B.Eng. (CBE), based on the different types of study in the curriculum shown below. The distribution of the study courses and the corresponding numbers of AU are shown in the table below.

For information on the University’s Academic Unit system, Grade Point Average System and Honors calculations, see the AUS Handbook here.

Please see the List of Major Electives (MPE) and Special Electives (BDE) / No Electives (UE) available to CBE students.

Chemical and biomolecular engineers are in high demand in emerging and knowledge-based industries. The pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industry is an important part of Singapore’s star economy. Other neighboring countries also focus on value-added industries.

Choosing An Engineering Major: A Conceptual Model Of Student Pathways Into Engineering

Chemical and biomolecular engineers are trained differently so they have the flexibility and ability to adapt to different business environments. Graduates will find challenging opportunities in traditional industries such as petrochemicals, biopharmaceuticals, specialty drugs, food/flavor/perfume, nanotechnology, biotechnology, etc.

The Graduate Employment Survey (GES) is conducted annually to assess the earnings of graduates, up to six months after graduation. The Department of Education publishes key performance indicator results on an annual survey to provide students with timely and comparable information to help them make classroom decisions.

Our Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering) at the School of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) is accredited by the Singapore Institution of Engineers, which is a signatory to the Washington Accord in Singapore, through its Business Board of Trustees. The Washington Accord is an international agreement to unify the balance of engineering education to satisfy the educational requirements for the practice of engineering at the professional level.

Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for graduate study or employment. Education and research in the University is based on its mission and educational objectives (PEO). PEOs are general terms that describe the professional and career achievements that the program prepares graduates to achieve. Our PEOs are aligned with the EAB Student Learning Outcomes (SLO). They are narrow statements that define what students want to know and be able to do at the end of the course.

B.s. In Chemical Engineering

To achieve the mission and realize the vision of the University and the School, SCBE’s Chemical and Biomolecular Program (CBE) is designed to produce graduates with the following characteristics in 3-5 years from after graduating:

The program must demonstrate, at the time of graduation, that students have acquired 12 graduate qualities:
