Students are encouraged to apply the optics, psychology, social and spiritual aspects of psychology to understand themselves and others, including how and why self-control is an important factor in living a healthy life.
Human Resources / T.a. To Teacher Programs
This course provides an overview of early childhood as a profession related to the basics of history, philosophy and society. Students understand how these functions influence current thinking and can translate these theories into practice. Includes age-level features and child-centered activities that promote implementation, development, evaluation, curriculum / environmental guidance, and family-community cooperation. The role of teachers and ethical thinking is believed to promote reflective thinking, cultural competence and the use of positive technology to meet the needs of young children. The purpose of the course is in line with the goals of the Sate of Oregon program for early childhood and primary OAR 584-017-0100, ages 3 to 4, and the National Association for Early Childhood Education (NYAEYC) first license standards.
