You will create your signature style by experimenting with written work, 2D to 3D, binding and digital printing in the School of Art’s workshop and dedicated to fashion students. Fashion Design Course Ba Hons

You will learn all aspects of the design process from research and design to design to garment making, cutting and construction. They will attend important and previous courses and inspire your research projects.

The first year introduces the design process covering all aspects of 2D design, and product design covering all 3D aspects. Added woven and printed fabrics, fabric methods, photography, pattern cutting and freeform design. Our photography classes and workshops in Photoshop, Adobe, pattern cutting, sewing and sewing techniques will be introduced to complement the studio classes.

Design processes complete FN4003 – Product Design 1. During Design 1, there will be an emphasis on complex traditional methods and skills through Research Design Development and Presentation, which is continuously supported by drawing and the realization of 2D sketchbook related work. for the first 3D prototypes.

Design Product 1 completes Design Product 1 in the production of the final work and/or closed piece. The projects focus on various aspects of the project management process leading to the creation of work using the technical skills taught. Research explores the home’s clothing archives to recreate and create a contemporary piece.

This module complements the Design Design 1 and Product Design 1 modules and introduces a wide range of skills such as textiles, graphics through photography, illustration and digital design skills. The module consists of several projects focusing on historical research, contemporary design and social issues. This module introduces students to real world skills such as time management and presentation skills.

This method provides thematic methods for the study of composition as a historical text through the reading of photographs, films and studio visits. Students will be introduced to the history of fashion development and trends from the 1750s to the present day. Each section is designed to address specific ideas and trends that have shaped and built our modern understanding of fashion, both a functional and meaningful social and cultural activity.

In the second year, you will participate in sponsored projects and international competitions. You’ll discover the art of acting through a series of modules, including interviews from creative minds, marketers, stylists and recruiting agencies, as well as CV writing workshops and job interviews.

The module is based on different works by professional writers and industry writers. Students will continue to research and create data summaries in the old academic building. Projects are two-dimensional and will be evaluated through the submission of a portfolio that includes all development work and a final presentation suitable for presentation to external sponsors.

The aim of this module is to enable you to build on your basic knowledge of building materials related to design work. You will be expected to develop the work team in areas of success through group work, interview process and CV writing. You prepare a professional portfolio to start preparing for the Professional Practice 3 module at level 6.

This module is divided into projects and covers three categories of industry-supported projects. The designs in the two-dimensional portfolio within Design Process 2 inform the creation of a prototype garment (toilet) or a molded garment. The clothes will be made in either the cup or the appropriate fabric according to the brief. The project of clothing can include the final three-dimensional piece and is made in the appropriate thread.

This module builds on the issues and topics introduced in unit 4 and emphasizes the theorization of contemporary practice. A series of lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, screenings and visits will inform and support your own emerging research interests and the development of visual and practical research skills in history/theory and design. Lectures and seminars will provide an in-depth and imaginative engagement with contemporary issues in the form. Work and seminal evaluations are specially designed for advanced projects that support the site and training process. Research methods are presented, although case studies and practical experiences demonstrate what is addressed by the current module approach.
