You may be exempt from our equivalent degree if you have studied material in a previous qualification that is comparable in content, level and quality to our cyber security modules. This is called a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or waiver. You do not need to study in modules or be assessed to complete your award.

To be considered for RPL, you should make a formal request in your application when you apply online. Alternatively, this can be done through an online inquiry when you submit your application.

We will not consider any application for recognition of prior learning if you have already entered assessment for the relevant module.

Other qualifications must be assessed on a case-by-case basis by expert academics before we may approve an RPL. A formal application and payment of the RPL application fee is required. The RPL application fee is non-refundable, even if your previous education was not recognized.
