Meet Amber Schevon, Lmft Our Talented San Francisco Bay Area Couples Therapist — San Francisco Intimacy & Sex Therapy Centers: Leading Sex & Couples Therapists/ Coaches In Sf Bay Area Over 60 Locations
This 60-unit program meets all educational requirements of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) within three years. Students will be eligible for MFT licensure upon completion of program requirements and also have the option to obtain PCC licensure upon successful completion of additional fieldwork requirements during the program. Our programs combine rigorous and collaborative classroom learning with action through fieldwork in the field of mental health in communities as diverse as the city we call home.
In the third year, students undertake internships with Bay Area community and school partners. These organizations emphasize their service, mission, and education, and provide students with important industry information and opportunities to apply for internships.
The Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program is a 60-credit program culminating in a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in MFT. All graduates of the program will be eligible for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Additionally, students have the opportunity to complete additional fieldwork hours in order to become licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) upon graduation.
