Dr. Patricia Huddleston is a professor of retailing in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations. He teaches at the undergraduate level Consumer Behavior and Retail Strategy and Consumer Behavior, International Consumer Behavior and Strategic Brand Communication at the graduate level.

Anna McAlister is an assistant professor in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations. Prior to joining Michigan State, Anna worked in the Department of Consumer Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Graduate Certificate In Strategic Communication Management

Using both quantitative and qualitative methods, Dr. Mourao focused on how journalists cover political events in a changing media ecosystem. Her projects have focused on elections and protests, both in the United States and Brazil. At MSU, he teaches courses in social media, media literacy, media studies, and multimedia journalism.

Saleem Alhabash is an Associate Professor of Public Relations and Social Media in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, who studies the persuasive effects of social media.

As the director of M.A. Strategic Communications Program, Jason works with an incredible cross-departmental team to help build integrated digital and social media campaigns to attract domestic and international students, and engage alumni and industry associations to generate interest and enrollment in the program. He will also collaborate with faculty on course development and design, in addition to teaching in the program.

Dr. Constantinos K. Coursaris is associate professor, director of graduate studies and associate professor at the Department of Media and Information, as well as associate professor at the Department of Advertising and Public Relations. He is also a professor of courtesy, usability/accessibility research and consulting at MSU Outreach and Engagement.

Dr. Vietske van Osch received her Ph.D. graduated in Economics (Information Systems) from the University of Amsterdam. Her PhD thesis focused on “generative collectives” and specifically the structural, intellectual and technological dimensions of online communities that lead to increased innovation and won first prize for the 2012 ACM SIGMIS / AIS Award for Best PhD Thesis.

Valletta is promoted to the faculty by sharing information about faculty projects, grants, and classes. She provides website, graphics and branding support for the league’s events, the Meaningful Play Conference, minors (such as serious gaming and IT) and projects related to the media environment.

Ms In Communication

Dr. Wilkerson joined the Michigan State faculty in 2014. She currently teaches ADV 225 (Public Relations Writing) and ADV 330 (Advertising Management) online for the Department of Advertising + Public Relations. She also teaches CAS 842 (Communication Ethics) for the Strategic Communication Program at MSU.

Julie Beatty, MA, is an instructor in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Michigan State University. She has also taught at Oakland Community College and Robert Morris University. has more than 30 years of experience in the marketing, advertising and education sectors.
