All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better through the procedures listed in the table below. Although courses have been accepted or are in progress at the time of application, it is in the best interest of students to take as many courses as possible during the application period. Can You Become An Rn In 2 Years? What About Accelerated Nursing Programs?
Samuel Merritt University offers important courses in human anatomy, human physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology. This course is offered in the fall, spring, and summer and is intended for prospective students. More information can be found on the Undergraduate Core Courses webpage.
An AP score of 3, 4, or 5 and an IB score of 5, 6, or 7 may be used for eligibility, but is acceptable if the scores are properly documented on an official college transcript.
The HESI A2 score must be available at the time of application for admission. You will be required to report your HESI A2 result and upload a copy of the results report to the application.
Scholarships are awarded to applicants with scores above 80 percent on each of the following tests: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and Social Skills, Grammar, Mathematics and Anatomy and Physiology. In addition, candidates must undergo an educational and personal profile evaluation.
Partnership Creates Accelerated Bsn
The Nursing Assistant program at Samuel Merritt University accepts the TEAS as an alternative to the HESI A2 to meet the entrance exam requirements. Applicants should be aware that the University will not administer or accept TEAS tests at any school.
When registering for TEAS, candidates should select the TEAS and ATI (online remote location ATI proctored) option. Register for TEAS at http://www.atitesting.com/teas/register. Samuel Merritt University School of Nursing offers an Accelerated Baccalaureate Program (ABSN) for applicants with advanced degrees in other fields. The program recognizes each individual’s past experiences and academic achievements and builds on these assets. It provides a process for graduates with non-nursing degrees to successfully and successfully transition into careers. Because of these core areas, the curriculum differs from a traditional BSN.
What Are Accelerated Nursing Programs?
This program is designed to be completed within 12 months. The curriculum includes five courses of intensive, accelerated learning. Although the curriculum and process differ from Samuel Merritt’s traditional BSN program, the goals, learning objectives, and core concepts are the same.
All admitted students are required to submit transcripts, transcripts for courses still in progress or planned at the time of application and that have not been updated in the academic update process through the CAS system.
