The Physical Therapist Assistant program is an Associate of Science degree program. It follows a 1+1 model where general education courses are completed before enrolling in the technical education curriculum at the Academy of Medical Arts.

General academic courses, including anatomy and physiology, transfer from a student’s previous college course to the Academy of Medical Arts. This allows the Academy of Medical Arts program to offer only 44-week technical courses.

Classes begin twice a year in January and July and are full-time during the day, Monday through Friday. Clinical education assumes clinical site hours during the day.
