Performance Review Phrases (with Examples)
Successful organizations depend on the valuable input of self-esteem from their employees. Self-assessments allow employees to reflect, assess their strengths and assess their level of achievement. In addition, employee self-analysis allows individuals to communicate the goals they feel they have achieved and determine those for which they need additional training or support.
Self-assessments also serve as an essential tool for employees themselves; in other words, you can use this document to influence your supervisor’s (eg manager, HR person, etc.) evaluation of you. Carrying out a self-assessment is a proactive way to articulate what you have achieved, identify areas where you need to improve and determine the steps to take to do so.
But more importantly, a self-assessment reflects your ability to communicate how well you did. What you are really demonstrating with your self-esteem is that you understand what your position requires and that you deserve to be rewarded for your achievements. In short, use a self-evaluation model to document your ongoing commitment to improving your performance within the organization.
Companies allow you to self-appraise before they officially evaluate you – by writing your self-appraisal, you have the opportunity to list your successes and demonstrate that you know the requirements of your job. When you write your self-evaluation effectively, it assures your organization that you will continue to be successful.
