Summer Internships For Biology Majors – Welcome to the Biology Department Opportunity Internship Program! This project is part of the Personal Advising Campaign (PAC) which aims to provide hands-on research/work experience to undergraduate biology students at the University of Akron. We ask local businesses to provide us with training opportunities and post them on this page.
We have two classes of scholarship opportunities: sponsored and unfunded. Both will carry internship credit for you, and both will give you valuable experience for your career. We will update offers as they come.
Summer Internships For Biology Majors
For both internship categories, you can get internship credit for upper division biology credit (BIOL: 496). Once you have accepted the internship, please contact Dr. Steve Weeks (330-972-6954) or visit the Biology office to sign up for credit.

We are looking to hire a professional beekeeper to raise and maintain more bees. As a beekeeper, you will be responsible for keeping and keeping bees, collecting wild bees, collecting and processing honey. Elimination of animal pests and maintenance of animal health.

Oregon State University Research Experience For Undergraduates
Our internship program is designed for biology or environmental science students. Students will be provided with a comprehensive program in which they will have the opportunity to view our wildlife correctional facilities and assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and distribution of medications. Daily work will focus on animal care, supportive care, and general preparation for the release of healthy animals into their original habitats.
We pride ourselves on providing unique hands-on experiences for all students in our program. No two days are the same, so to ensure that each student gets the most out of their time at our wildlife sanctuary, we are on duty every two weeks during training.
While previous experience is a bonus, this program is also ideal for entry-level students. The practical experience gained will help your student complete their studies and help them in their future careers.
