Suny Schools With Accelerated Nursing Programs – The State University of New York (SUNY) will host the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Virtual Accreditation Examination from October 4 to October 6, 2021. This evaluation includes degree programs: Master of Nursing, M.Sc. In Nursing Education.
As part of the review process, CCNE allows interested communities identified by the program to provide feedback on the program’s qualifications for accreditation. We welcome your feedback. CCNE will accept signed and written comments until September 13, 2021.

We offer a bachelor’s degree program where students can simultaneously enroll in ADN and BSN programs.
In addition, we offer an online BSN program for registered nurses trained at the baccalaureate level. This quality program offers flexibility with all courses offered every seven weeks and professionals with hands-on experience in the student community.
SUNY’s Master of Science in Nursing Administration focuses on nursing administration. Graduates are prepared to take on roles as nurse managers or nurse directors in modern healthcare organizations. The program trains graduates in nursing, business and other disciplines to position them for leadership positions in the complex health care environment. In addition to preparing nurses for administrative positions, this program provides an excellent basis for doctoral training.
SUNY’s online RN to BSN program focuses on nursing education and can lead to a Master of Science (MS) degree. Graduates of the Master of Science in Nursing Education program are prepared to serve as nurse educators, staff development coordinators, professional development educators, and community educators in pre-licensure and undergraduate programs. All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher in accordance with the requirements listed in the table below. Courses that are planned or in progress at the time of application are preferred, but it is in the student’s interest to have completed as many courses as possible at the time of application. Under no circumstances may prerequisite courses be completed concurrently with the ABSN program.
Pass/fail course is an acceptable prerequisite due to changes during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. However, these courses are not counted in the GPA calculation.

Samuel Merritt University offers prerequisite courses in human anatomy, human physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology. Classes are held in autumn, spring and summer and are intended for future students. More information is available on the Undergraduate Course website.
How Long Is An Accelerated Nursing Program?
A score of 3, 4, or 5 on the AP exam and a score of 5, 6, or 7 on the IB exam may be used to fulfill the prerequisite, but only if the test scores are clearly written on the official college transcript.
HESI A2 results must be available when applying for admission. You will be required to self-report your HESI A2 result and upload a copy of your result report to the application.
Preference is given to candidates who score more than 80% in each of the following tests: reading comprehension, vocabulary and general knowledge, grammar, mathematics, anatomy and physiology. In addition, candidates must provide an assessment of their learning style and personality.
Samuel Merritt University nursing programs accept TEAS as an alternative to HESI A2 to meet entrance exam requirements. Applicants should note that the University does not conduct or administer TEAS exams at any of its campuses.

Applicants must select TEAS with ATI (ATI Online Remote Control) when registering for TEAS. Register for TEAS at http://www.atitesting.com/teas/register.
