The program received accreditation from the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association in 1947. SBU has developed a special course plan for DPT students who wish to complete their MBA degree concurrently with their Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Students who participate in the Missouri A+ program are automatically accepted into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at SSU. For automatic admission, students must earn a bachelor’s degree at SBU within two years of completing an associate’s degree under the parameters of the A+ program.
