A partnership with the New York State Police Crime Lab gives St. Rose students a hands-on look at the field of forensics through mentoring and facility tours.

Forensic Science Graduate
The Forensic Science major will provide students with the basic knowledge needed to obtain entry-level positions in forensic laboratories or graduate programs in various forensic specialties. The major is multidisciplinary, and the combination of courses in chemistry and biology provides students with the depth and breadth needed to build a strong scientific foundation for a career in forensic science.

My research interests are in analytical chemistry, including environmental chemistry, food chemistry and forensic chemistry. When I work with students in my research, I like to discover what interests them, and together we want to create an effective research experience around that interest. My students regularly present research posters at the St. Rose Undergraduate Research Symposium, and some students present posters at the local American Chemical Society Undergraduate Research Symposium and Sigma Xi Commencement.
My research interests are computational and theoretical chemistry. I use molecular dynamics simulations to study the properties of various aqueous solutions and interfaces at the atomic-molecular level. I have published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at national and regional American Chemical Society conferences.
